FICCI Raises Concern Over India\'s Growing Trade Deficit With Japan

India's business community has raised concerns over the country's growing trade deficit with Japan. FICCI President Anant Goenka said Indian businesses need better access to the Japanese market and highlighted certification and regulatory barriers affecting exporters.

Recent bilateral trade figures show that India's imports from Japan remain significantly higher than its exports. Business leaders are calling for measures that can help Indian companies become more competitive in the Japanese market.

The two countries are also looking at opportunities in areas such as semiconductors, electronics, data centres and other advanced industries. Strengthening these sectors could help expand investment and create new opportunities for bilateral economic cooperation.
