UN General Assembly: World Leaders Prepare for Major Global Discussions

World leaders are preparing to gather in New York for the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. The high-level discussions are expected to cover international security, artificial intelligence, climate change, conflicts and global cooperation.

The UN says this year's theme focuses on restoring trust and managing transformation. Artificial intelligence is expected to receive particular attention as governments consider how rapidly developing technologies should be governed internationally.

The assembly will also provide a platform for countries to present their positions on major international conflicts and humanitarian issues. Several prominent world leaders are expected to address the gathering during the high-level debate.
