Bengaluru Airport Passenger Fee Cut by 45%

Travellers flying out of Bengaluru on domestic routes will see a reduction in the airport's passenger fee from September 1. The charge has been cut by around 45% to ₹300, following a new tariff order issued by the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority.

The reduction could provide some relief to frequent flyers and passengers travelling from Bengaluru. Airport charges form part of the overall cost of air travel, so even relatively small reductions can benefit high-frequency travellers.

The revised tariff comes as India's aviation sector continues to expand, with airports facing increasing passenger volumes and pressure to maintain competitive operating costs.
