RS Chairman Accepts Sushmita Dev's Resignation from Rajya Sabha
Rajya Sabha Chairman CP Radhakrishnan has formally accepted the resignation of Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Sushmita Dev from the Upper House.
Her exit marks the second resignation from the party’s parliamentary ranks within a week, signaling growing internal unease. Following her resignation, Dev met Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in New Delhi, adding further political intrigue to the development.
Earlier this week, veteran TMC leader and Rajya Sabha member Sukhendu Sekhar Ray had also stepped down from both the House and the party, underscoring the turbulence within the Trinamool’s parliamentary presence.
